Since it arrived at the international level in 1844 through a match between the United States of America and Canada (then a British Province), it has been loved and played worldwide.

At present, 104 countries play Cricket officially and are recognized by ICC (the International Cricket Council), with 12 test playing Full members and 92 Associate members.

Today we discuss the best cricket teams of the world playing international Cricket solely based on statistics (all data till February 15th, 2021).

1. Australia

Australia plays tests since 1877 and has a win percentage of 47.24 in the format after playing over 830 games in the format.

In ODIs, it has the most number of world cups.

They won in 1987 and 3 consecutive times in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

A win percentage of 60.63 after playing 955 matches clearly states that they are on the top.

In T20is, after playing 131 matches, it has won 52.67% of the games.

Legendary players like Don Bradman, Ricky Ponting, Glenn Mcgrath, Shane Warne, etc., played for the side.

They currently hold 3rd, 4th and 2nd positions in ICC Test, ODI, and T20 team rankings.

2. India

Playing test since its pre-independence era in 1932, India has a win percentage of 29 after playing 547 games in the format.

In ODIs, it has two world cups in 1983 and 2011.

They have 51.52% wins in 990 ODI games.

In T20is, after playing 137 matches, it has won 62.04% of the games and thus races up to the 2nd spot despite being not much close to Australia in Tests and ODIs.
